We adhere to the principles of data avoidance and data economy. Information about cookies & tools
We use cookies and other technologies on our website. Cookies are small text files that are assigned and stored on your hard drive to the browser you are using by a characteristic string, and through which certain information flows to the entity that sets the cookie. Cookies cannot execute programs or transfer viruses to your computer and therefore cannot cause any damage. They serve to make the Internet offer as a whole more user-friendly and effective, i.e. more pleasant for you.
Cookies can contain data that makes it possible to recognize the device used. In some cases, however, cookies only contain information about certain settings that are not personally identifiable. However, cookies cannot directly identify a user. A distinction is made between session cookies, which are deleted as soon as you close your browser, and permanent cookies, which are stored beyond the individual session. You can find more information about the cookies we set in our Consent Management Tool. You can also make your individual settings there.
We set cookies that are absolutely necessary to navigate the website, use basic functions and ensure the security of the website; this is our legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO). These cookies do not collect information about you for marketing purposes, nor do they store which websites you have visited. In addition, with your consent, we use technologies that are not absolutely necessary for the use of the website. You can obtain detailed information in our Consent Management Tool. You can also make your individual settings there.

Web analysis with Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web tracking service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). The purpose of our use of the tool is to enable the analysis of your user interactions on websites and to improve our offer through the statistics and reports obtained and to make it more interesting for you as a user.
We primarily record the interactions between you as a user of the website and our website with the help of cookies, data on the device/browser, IP addresses and website or app activities. Google Analytics also collects your IP addresses to ensure the security of the service and to provide us, as the website operator, with information about which country, region or location the respective user comes from (so-called "IP location determination"). For your protection, we use the anonymization function ("IP masking"), i.e. Google truncates the IP addresses by the last octet within the EU/EEA.
Google acts as an order processor and we have concluded a corresponding contract with Google. The information generated by the cookie and the (shortened) IP addresses about your use of this website are usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and processed there. For these cases, Google has, according to its own information, imposed a standard on itself that corresponds to the former EU-US Privacy Shield and has promised to comply with applicable data protection laws in the international transfer of data. We have also agreed so-called standard contractual clauses with Google, the purpose of which is to ensure compliance with an appropriate level of data protection in the third country.
The legal basis for the collection and further processing of the information (which will take place for a maximum of 14 months) is your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO). The revocation of your consent is possible at any time without affecting the permissibility of the processing until the revocation. In apps, you can reset the advertising ID under the Android or iOS settings. The easiest way to revoke your consent is via our Consent Manager
or install the browser add-on from Google, which can be accessed via the following link: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en/.
For more information on the scope of services provided by Google Analytics, please visit marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/terms/en/. Google provides information on data processing when using Google Analytics at the following link: support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en/. General information on data processing, which according to Google should also apply to Google Analytics, can be found in Google's privacy policy at www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/.

Use of Social Media Plug-ins & Appearances in Social Media
We use social media plug-ins from LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube, which are only loaded if you have previously activated the function by giving your consent. Through the plug-ins, we offer you the opportunity to interact with the social networks and other users. The legal basis for the use of the plug-ins is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO, i.e. the integration only takes place after your consent.
The plug-in provider stores the data collected about you as usage profiles and uses them for purposes of advertising, market research and/or demand-oriented design of its website. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (also for users who are not logged in) for the display of tailored advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact the respective plug-in provider to exercise this right. The data transfer takes place regardless of whether you have an account with the plug-in provider and are logged in there. If you are logged in to the plug-in provider, your data collected from us will be directly assigned to your account with the plug-in provider. If you click the activated button and, for example, link to the page, the plug-in provider also saves this information in your user account and shares it publicly with your contacts. We recommend that you log out regularly after using a social network, but especially before activating the button, as this allows you to avoid an assignment to your profile with the plug-in provider.
The information collected is stored on servers of the providers, in the case of international providers also outside Europe. For these cases, the provider has, according to its own information, imposed a standard on itself that corresponds to the former EU-US Privacy Shield and has promised to comply with applicable data protection laws in the international transfer of data. We have also agreed so-called standard data protection clauses with the providers, the purpose of which is to ensure compliance with an appropriate level of data protection in the third country.
The revocation of your consent is possible at any time without affecting the permissibility of the processing until the revocation.
For more information about the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by the plug-in provider, please refer to the privacy statements of these providers. There you will also receive further information about your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy.
Insofar as we have a presence in social networks in addition to the above-mentioned social media plug-ins, we refer you to the privacy statements of the respective providers. We only process the data from your use of our service that you provide to us and require interaction. For example, if you ask a question that we can only answer by e-mail, we will store your information in accordance with the general principles of our data processing, which we describe in this privacy policy. The legal basis for processing your data on the social media platform is Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO. To exercise your data subject rights, you can contact both us or the provider of the social media platform.

YouTube
We also use plugins from the YouTube site operated by Google. The operator of the pages is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066 USA. When you visit one of our pages equipped with a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. In the process, the YouTube server is informed which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to assign your surfing behavior directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.
For more information on the handling of user data, please see YouTube's privacy policy at: //policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en&gl=en

Google Maps
On our website, we use Google Maps API to visually display geographical information. When using Google Maps, Google also collects, processes and uses data about visitors' use of the map function. You can find more information about data processing by Google in the Google privacy policy (//policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en). There you can also change your personal privacy settings in the Privacy Center.
Further detailed instructions on managing your own data in connection with Google products can be found here: //support.google.com/accounts/answer/3024190

Notes for applicants
If you apply to us by e-mail or post, we will store your details for the purpose of carrying out and for the duration of the application process. This concerns the personal data you provide in your application documents, usually name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, and possibly also sensitive data such as religious affiliation or severely disabled status. If you apply to us via portals operated by third parties, we will receive your data from the source to which you have declared your consent to the transfer of data. You can obtain more information on data collection from the source in question.
The provision of your personal data is necessary in order to carry out the application process. The legal basis for the aforementioned data processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. b DSGVO in conjunction with. § 26 BDSG.
As part of the application process, we will also check whether we can offer you another vacancy that matches your application. If we are interested in retaining your application documents for a later date, we will ask you for separate consent to this effect. Otherwise, we will store your application data for a period of six months after the conclusion of an unsuccessful application process, insofar as this does not conflict with statutory retention obligations. The legal basis for the aforementioned data processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. c and lit. f DSGVO.
As a matter of principle, your data will be processed exclusively by us and will not be passed on to third parties. Exceptions concern cases in which the legislator requires or provides for the disclosure of data (for example, in the context of tax audits by the tax authorities). In certain cases, the disclosure of your data to third parties is necessary to protect your or our interests or to fulfill our contractual obligations. This occurs in particular when we use external service providers. In these cases, the service provider is bound by instructions and receives personal data only to the extent and for the period that is necessary for the provision of the services in question. A transfer abroad does not take place and is not intended.
